What's the one thing you feel today's society lacks? Some might say identity and some mightsay a voice. If I had to answer that question the thing I feel today's society lacks most is transparency. Why is transparency so important? It is the outlet to so many other things in life. Many underestimate what transparency can do.

Transparency is one of those things that separate what most of us call, the real and the fake. When someone is transparent, it's as if there's an instant connection. Transparency allows for people to peek into the depths of someone or something. It's the layer beneath the surface that many aren't too fond ofexposing. But what we must note is that transparency is critical to transformation.

There is a belief that the first step to recovery is admitting that there is an issue, which is a form of transparency. It is said that once the issue is acknowledged, it becomes easier for people to recover and go through the process. So ponder for one second on this thought. How further along would you be if you were transparent about your situation or circumstance? How much further would your family be if people were transparent? Better yet, how many people's lives would be impacted if you were willing to be transparent?

In life we get so used to trying to be perfect and act as if every facet of our lives is good. But in all actuality, our reality is so much more different and we are dying mentally, physically and emotionally because the weight of our circumstances becomes unbearable. But we all know that trials only come to make us strong and no matter what we face, there's a lesson in it. That lesson could be strength, patience, longevity, etc., which all happen to be great lessons to learn. Never be ashamed of your story because you never know who needs to hear it. Know that we are all overcome by the word of our testimonies, which calls for us to be transparent. Don't let a situation kill you. Live through it. I promise you it gets better! That's just the power of transparency.
