In life we have have to learn to pay attention to the patterns and the cycles. I'm sure we've all been in a place where we feel like we keep running into the same things or we keep experiencing the same problems. I'm here to suggest that the reason for that is because there's a lesson to be learned and when that lesson isn't learned, that same thing finds its way back every time. This is true for every aspect of our lives whether it be relationships, work, family, habits, etc.
It is so important for us to pay attention to the construct of our lives because there's ultimately a lesson in all of it. Believe it or not, whether it be good or bad, there's a lesson in everything. But sometimes we let our emotions and feelings get in the way of the lesson that needs to be learned and that can be very dangerous. Not being attentive can cost us all so much. It can cost us time, money, emotional and mental stress and so much more.
What we have to ask ourselves is if it’s all worth being delayed? When we don't learn the lesson, we create a negative cycle. Think about some of the things in your life that you feel constantly come up and continue to surface in your life. Now think about the lesson that is being presented to you to learn. We have to be more willing to take heed and understand what is placed before us.
So why is learning the lesson the first time important? It is imperative because it saves you from so much unnecessary strife. So many things can be avoided if we just pay attention. Another reason learning the lesson the first time is important is because it puts us in a position to be catapulted into the next phase of our lives. When you don't have to go through the same thing multiple times it saves you time and energy and allows for you to move forward. Lastly learning the lesson the first time shows discipline and obedience. We hear it all the time, "obedience is better than sacrifice" but it's like we never apply it. There's a blessing in being obedient and willing to submit to what God is trying to do in your life. Don't let the cycle become your reality, learn the lesson the first time.
