There are so many times in life where we’re ready to give up, we feel that our will to keep going isn't there anymore. We face tough financial situations, family situations, we put ourselves in compromising situations and sometimes the pressure seems too much to bear. We let our circumstances suck the life right out of us. We’re not sure what’s going to happen or what the future holds for us, we begin to develop a fear of the unknown.
The fear of the unknown can be one of the darkest feelings because you don't know what to expect and you don't know what to do. But what is faith if we know every thing to come? How do we trust God without having feelings of uncertainty? If we knew it all, what would faith look like? It is those feelings that birth a fight and will in us to want to draw closer to God and keep going.
Rough times and hard situations are a natural part of life and we all face them. Some days are harder than others and some situations differ but we all face hard times. The blessing in it is that you already have in you what you need to get pass the situation. So before you give in and forfeit everything, know that you have to have the will to keep going. It's the only way you'll make it and while you're pressing, God is right beside you.
In the past year I've faced many moments of my own that sometimes made me question if I had the will to go on. There were days I had strength and days where I didn't, but I knew I had to fight and in that fight I had to take sometime away from things I had going on, including this blog. I had to understand that there is always a process to everything, there's no snapping your fingers and thinking everything will be okay. I had to go through a process of healing, I had to let go of things and people that weren't healthy for me. When I gave in to the process, He strengthened me day after day.
Even now God continues to reveal new things to me and restore me. I say all that to say, don't give up, everything around you might seem like it's falling to pieces, but keep going. Know that no matter what your circumstance is, there's greater on the other side and you have a choice about how you respond. Choose to live and keep fighting!
I want to thank all of you who have patiently waited as I took this time away and thank you for your continued support! Meet me here every Wednesday at Noon, for a time to reflect, a time to be uplifted, a time to pause for purpose!
